Wintergaming Bio
Name: Evan “Winter” Ballnik
Birthday: March 22, 1993
Nationality: North American
Winter is generally remarkable as a streamer. At first just barely popular, he rose to notoriety when in 2014 his stream got perhaps the most watched StarCraft II player streams. While Winter doesn’t play at the most noteworthy competitive level, his editorial on his own games and communication with watchers turned out to be impecable. Winter has raised his most noteworthy position to Grand Master as both a Zerg player and afterward as a Random player. He needed to do this in order to be taken seriously.
Winter now no longer looks after being a professional Starcraft 2 player, and rather has decided to focus on streaming on Twitch.tv. He does not consider himself to be a pro player.
Winter went to HomeStory Cup X as a caster in November 2014.
On 16 March 2015, Winter was un-highlighted from the Team Liquid stream page because of supposed usage of viewbots to misleadingly build his stream viewer counts on Twitch. Following a six-month probation period, Winter was considered clean by Team Liquid and refeatured. Around a similar time, broke up with nVidia as well when his contract finished.
Since 2017, he has been participating in smaller tournaments as a commentator.
